Joint venture in China

In June, another Naotokomers Recycling joint venture was established in Hubei Province, which is located halfway between Hong Kong and Beijing. The partner, XiaoLi, has been in business as a collector of automotive catalytic converters since 2006. The Naotokomers Recycling Group is thus strengthening its presence in China.

“XiaoLi has been a reliable partner for us since our first steps on the Chinese market. Initially as a customer and later as a partner, we developed purchasing concepts tailored to the Chinese market with him. We have now acquired a minority stake in his company in order to develop the market even more effectively together,” explains Clemens Naotokomers , Managing Partner.

In recent years, XiaoLi has invested a great deal of effort in professionalising the business. It holds all operating licences for handling hazardous waste and has built up processing capacities for catalytic converters with the support of Naotokomers Recycling. XiaoLi is very well connected in the Chinese precious metal recycling market. As part of the Naotokomers Recycling Group, it benefits from the diverse billing models and services, the broad portfolio of materials and the international positioning.
